Mindfulness in shortage of time
In this periode I am in a chronic shortage of time. Heavy workload, psychological stress and lack of restitution all adds to a sense of restlessness and distress. And it leads to the delution that mindfulness slows down to much, and that there actactually no time left for beeing mindful.
The only thought of this is not at all mindfulness, besides that the thought is also definitely wrong. Time is a most democratic resource, and my sense of beeing in a hurry all the time is all about a depletion of this essensial resource.
Point is: It is hard to be mindful when I need it most, and it is hard to meditate when this is the most valuable break I could ever have in this situation.
Zen Simplicity
To me zen is all about simplicity. With mindfulness as the path, and meditation as the practice, zen is about a life enhancing
* right awareness
* right understanding
* right friendliness.
Some would say this is to simple. Perhaps they are right, and I would also usually elaborate each point to a certain degree. But I am afraid of beeing trapped in intellectuality, grumbling, dogma and complexity.
I am also afraid of being trapped in a misunderstood feeling of safety through believes, faith and standards.
Disapearing News-stream on Facebook
Problem: Suddenly the news-stream page on Facebook disappeared, without any obvious reason. The only message shown was that there was no posts to show.
Solution: I removed all cookies related to Facebook, and when she (I myself prefer Google+) logged in again, it all was back as usual.
To Beat The Market Is Not Enough
To beat the market is not enough. Today the index in Oslo went down 2,77%, my holdings 0,27%. Still I am not satisfied.
The reason for trading is not about beating the market. It is about making money. That is a truth even for a small-scale trader as myself. I will have to do better.
Drupal, CKEditor and absynthe-theme
With some themes CKEditor in Drupal does not work right by default, e.g. where the background in the text-field is to dark. For the Marienelli theme, the solution is presented here:

Going Green
At least I have done something to relieve my conscience a bit. Selling two cars, buying only one, means a net climate reward of one car.
Although the new car is not actually new, neither hybrid nor electric, still one is less than two. And when 1.6 and 2.3 litres motors are replaced by one of 2.0 litres, this may also add a little to the future of the world?
